My Destinations
Siena
Siena is located in the heart of Tuscany. It's a beautiful midevil city with high buildings and narrow streets. Different parts of the city are separated into areas called contradas, each has their own mascot. Twice a summer there is a horse race where each contrada races for bragging rights and pride. It's extremely important to those who reside in Siena, fights will often break out at the ends of the races.
Cinque Terre is off the Coast of the Italian Riviera. It has five different islands each with different shops and restaurants. There are many activities to do including kayaking, boating, swimming, and cliff jumping. This was one of my favorite weekends. It was nice to relax by the water and get away from the hustle and bustle of the cities that we were used to.

Rome
Rome is a must see while in Italy. It has so much rich history and beautiful monuments. We of course stopped by the Colliseum and walked around the ancient ruins. Sadly the Trevi fountain was closed for construction. It was more of a touristy spot, but it's a place where you have to see at least once while in Europe. After our tour of the ruins, a group of friends and I headed to the airport for our long weekend - Croatia!
Croatia
I've never seen a place more beautiful! I wasn't exactly sure what to expect when traveiling to Croatia, but there's no doubt in my mind that I want to visit again. It's surrounded by the most blue sea with smooth rock beaches, which was super nice because I didn't have to deal with bringing loads of sand back with me. We took a ferry to different islands and visited the beaches there as well. The little village pictured in the bottom right is actually a spot where Game of Throne's was filmed (if you care about that). This is definitley on my list of places I want to go back to.
Paris
Okay, Paris has to have been my favorite place. I realize that pretty much every place I visited was a favorite, so it's not really fair to pick one! I feel like Paris has a bad reputation of being dirty. However, what I saw was totally the opposite. We visited the Eiffel Tower at night and had champange while watching it light up and twinkle at the start of every hour. The middle picture is of the Arc de Triomph. My friend and I of course had to bring our Portland Trail Blazer's gear. Gotta represent Portland in Europe!
